We are very much looking forward to this month of festivities. Below are a few details:

 Sundays 10.30 The Sunday Gathering – Get ready for the church where ‘the bounce is in the house’ celebrates ChristMASSIVILY !

Sunday 9^th 4pm ABBEY CHRISTMAS (Community Centre, Abbots Road, Abbey Hulton)

Sunday 16^th 4.45pm BETHEL CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA

Christmas Morning 10am – Kick off your awesome Christmas Day here at Bethel with our very own 1 hour traditional carol service

 

Future:

Sunday 6^th First Fruits Sunday – Be GENEROUS & Bold in your giving as we give of our first fruits on this special first Sunday of the year.

Sunday 13^th VISION SUNDAY   – it doesn’t get bigger that this! It says in Matthew 21:10 that the ‘WHOLE CITY WAS STIRRED’. Find out how and why Bethel is  going to stir the city of Stoke On Trent!

Prayer & Fasting – Centre open: Mon/ Tues/ Wed @ 6am-8am/ 12pm-2pm/ 6pm-8pm. At 7pm on the Wednesday we will have a Prayer & Praise hour!

Christmas stuff:

9^th December is Abbey Christmas – festivities in the heart of the community.

16^th December sees our very own Christmas Extravaganza!

This Sunday – Church is going to be phenomenal! We are looking at our 7^th and final ‘cultural pillar’ – Truth! In a world that constantly utilises the ability to remove what is ‘true’, as a church we will build in a ‘true’ fashion and stand for what is ‘true’. The question is ‘what is it to be TRUE?’ Find out Sunday 10.30am.

watching my back!

I’m not sure its a beautiful thing; I’m sure its not a wonderful experience; but somebody has got to do it.

I’m talking about watching my back!

On arriving in the awesome city of Stoke on Trent and beginning to discover the previous experiences that the Bethel community have travelled through, I knew that a strong leadership was critical to the fulfillment of what God desired.

I have a confidence that team building is something that God has gifted me to do, and yet this opportunty revealed a greater dimension that I had ever required. In fact, this new dimension in team building led me to experience numerous words of knowledge & wisdom regarding team and how to build.

Phil Barber, senior pastor of an awesome 21st century church here in Stoke on Trent, is a man that holds great respect in the city as a leader with a trememndous prophetic gift. I am belieivng that our relationship is significant and I am looking forward to doing life with this great man!

 On our first meeting, Phil, not knowing the above, began to release words that totally confirmed what I was considering. He used the words, ‘continue to build a team that will watch your back!’

This is what we have done!

Now we are in a position where we have a united front & I am confident that as I submit to the team and lead, they will watch & protect Becky and I as they submit to us and lead alongside.

I was informed that the strength of team that we have normally takes 1-3 years to develop. We have miraculously fast tracked! This team is the best I have ever had the privilege of leading.

Love you guys!

In leadership this is essential. Now we are in a position to pursue what God is laying before us.

Fast food

So here we are the first of the three day prayer and fasting periods at the start of the month, James just described it as a detox to fast for 3 days but I know it is a lot more difficult than that. Liquids from now on for three days, I wonder where I put my liquidizer and what liquidized pizza and coke taste like. But seriously I just want to encourage you to go for it! If you have never done it before you will be shocked by what a difference it can make to your relationship with God. Live unleashed Wayne
